Door Glass Install

My painter delivered me back a terrible jigsaw puzzle of door bits and I still don't have it all correct. I'm getting a whistle at motorway speeds from the nearside, plus the glass isn't stuck in the lifter rail correctly.
Could someone let me know how the glass is meant to be held in the rubber and the rail? Is it just interference fit or are they bonded in? As in glass bonded to rubber then rubber to lifter rail?
Also I believe I'm missing at least one seal at the quarterlight on the door. An extended figure-8 cross section on the outside between the quartelight frame and the outer door skin, but is there meant to be a seal on the inside of the quarterlight? As if to continue the inner window scraper along the length of the frame, if that makes sense? I've seen a parts diagram showing one of these, but my door has two webs joining the inner and outer doorskin here so I can't see how it should slot in.
Cheers.
