FS: Glöckler Dealer Badge remake for 60th anniversary 2010

Post by Black Betty »

In 2010 the Otto Glöckler Porsche Dealership, which today is called Porsche Zentrum Frankfurt (a/Main), celebrated its 60th anniversary.

Glöckler therefore is the oldest Porsche dealership in the world.

In the fifties Glöckler was Porsche and VW dealer and he put his own dealer badge on the cars he sold: on the Porsches a red badge and on the VW's a blue one.

Glöckler built a few racecars of his own which carried the Glöckler name and that were built using Porsche parts; he even built the forerunner of the Porsche Spyder...

For the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Porsche Zentrum Frankfurt 100 of the original badges were remade to give to cliënts.

I was able to get some of these badges...

I have 3 for sale.

I'm willing to sell them for € 80 each (including shipment).

Hello there Antoine. My SC Targa was sold new by Porsche Frankfurt when it was Otto Glockler VW +Porsche Sportwagenzentrum, which is what is stamped on the registration document.
Were these fitted on the grille or the wing I wonder? How big are they?

So they are rather small. They are appr. 5cm round and 5,5 cm on the widest...

The VW ones and the Porsche are identical in size, only the colour and script were different.

On the Porsche 356 they were mounted -as far as I know- on the left side of the front fender on the same place as the Reutter-badge was on the right side, or -when the double engine grills appeared on the left bottom corner of the left grill. Until appr. 1974 it was placed on the engine grill of the 911 on the (same) left bottom side.

Contact me, because I still have 2 of these badges. I wanted to keep them for myself (as a collectors item), but I'm willing to sell one of them.

@66shiefergrau912

Appearantly there's no interest anymore in the badge?
I cannot send you a pm.

He only has one post, so does not have access to PM’s until he has posted at least FOUR items.
