Getting to the full bean switch

Sorry photos are crap.
My full beam and low beams aren't working. I checked and I have 12v going the headlight switch on T56 to the high/low/indicator switch. Ive directly connected the battery to the fuse for the full beam and they work so i assume the issue is with that switch? However, the indicators work but there isn't then I try to engage the full beam?
How do I get the plastic cover off to check the switch? Do I have to remove the steering wheel?
Also the horn isn't work and the problem appears to be that the wire isn't connected to anything? Where should is connect too?

Hello Neil,
The wire should connect through the horn push to earth on a contact ring. I can't see either in the photo.
To remove the cowling around the switches there are two screws on the sides and four behind the steering wheel. You need to remove the latter to get to them. One the cowling is off there are two screws on each side that hold the switch. I doubt the problem is with the switch though - more likely the plug where the switch loom goes through the bulkhead to the left of the steering wheel.

check wire from headlight switch to indicator switch/full beam switch. I lost both my hi AND low headlight beams the other day, and it turned out to be as simple as the wire that connects from the headlight switch to the indicator switch had come off at the headlight switch. I cant remember the colour but you can figure it out from a wiring diagram.
