Indeed, glad the optional console wasn't selected as it's easy sliding across & exiting through LH door! Just started up 1st crack after being driven in back in October when MOT expired.

Nice.

There's plenty of room on that whale tail for camping gear and some tins of paint. The roof will easily support bicycles and a barbeque, then shut and seal the garage door, wait 20 years and you'll have yourself a genuine blue, chipped, barnfind investment.

Pay no attention, I'm only jealous. :)

Lovely colour.

I bought the car from a customer back on the mid. 90's and was mainly attracted to the colour, sounds s bit girly but when something inside rocks your boat........ It was my everyday car for years and drove it to Lancaster uni from home here in Brum, outside lane on the M6 all the way! Back then nobody used to let me out in traffic but it's a different story these days [RECREATIONAL VEHICLE]

Quite taken with the yellow 3.0 Carrera at Specialist Cars, no idea what they're asking though....

Wow! How did you know they looked after the car? The PO spent a small fortune there, eng & g/box rebuild etc. They are having it soon to replace the h/exchangers. Thanks everyone for the interest, i've only recently ditched my week long charge nokia that only makes calls & got a proper phone & can't believe what you can do from the armchair!

Reply to Mike's response. £107k+ is a lot to put into any car! I'm sorting out a 66 912 at the moment and fear the costs will go sky high but it's the car i always really wanted so gotta go with it, really love them

This has to be the car I viewed back in the mid-90s(?) while doing some work for Autofarm, when the long-term owner who commissioned the 'restoration' was looking to sell it. He wanted circa 3x what a 2.7RST was going for but there was not much love back then for the C3, not even a 'new' one.

The owner was a Frenchman based in the UK and told me that he'd planned to re-shell it (I don't recall whether that was due to an accident or not), but found Porsche had run out of shells. Some of his friends who ran a race shop in Le Mans (I think) helpfully suggested they could buy all the panels and effectively build a new shell for him... Of course this snow-balled into a massive undertaking, which resulted in him needing the sell soon after it was complete. I was shown all the photos of the build and the car was of course immaculate and drove superbly, but hardly original.

Thanks Tp81, my pride & joy for 20 years. Barely a day goes by without an admiring trip to the garage just for a look. Dragonfly, are you describing the yellow C3? Mine's original & unrestored. Will make an effort in the new year to get out & meet fellow DDK-ers.

Sorry, yes my description was related to the yellow one. I hoped that was clear by quoting Mike's comment above.

No, my confusion really. I didn't know what a forum was until recently! I did wonder why some parts of the thread were feint! Doh. Thanks
