Lovely looking car, I am hoping to replicate the sports purpose look and spec on my own 67S. Bit of inspiration before the car heads to the body shop in a few weeks.

300k probably in today's market is a fair price for a matching numbers example, anyone know if it has it's matching engine?

Looks very nicely done but at £200k it would have to be exactly what you wanted.

Don't know if it is matching numbers but at 2.8l it is probably sufficiently far gone that it doesn't matter!

Yoda, you can have my 67s for exactly half of what they're asking....cant say fairer than that and i'll even bung in a couple of spare fuchs....

Hoping my 66 is going to end up looking a bit like this as decision made to take it back to its original light Ivory and give it the sports purpose look. Bodywork underway, engine rebuild underway....exciting times!

My 67S has already been used for light competetion and the thought of "sports purpose" is the way I intend to go - just how far I go I don't know and like MarkIII some inspiration on some of the detail would be good. I'm keeping a rear roll cage and using race harness - no seat belts. The "right" seats are the issue - I like factory lightweight ones but they're not cheap or easy to get. I'm trying my best not to over restore the car........

When I was planning my project I had the same predicament in not wanting to over restore the car, however I do intend on only restoring this car in full the once so the shell and paintwork will get the full treatment. the interior however will not be over restored, intention here is to use original dash, door cards rear seats etc etc.

I was also lucky in obtaining a 67 sports bucket seat and 68 recaro which will be subtly restored.

A lovely car but needs a decent steering wheel!

So a car which started as a 1967 'S' and is now no longer an 'S' other than for its chassis number, with non-stock wheels, non-stock interior, non-stock engine etc etc is said to be worth maybe two to four times more than a well-assembled hot-rod which also has non stock wheels, interior, engine etc. Hmmm. It's a funny old world.
