Hi All
Iam putting coilovers on my IROC 911 what pound springs should I use and should I use the torsion bars , it is going to be a trackday car not a race car so needs to be firm but not realty hard
Thanks Jim

Jim,
What do you mean by an IROC car?
Is it genuine and does it have the 100mm diameter rear shock towers?
If you don't use the torsion bars you will need to fit 935 style spring plates as an alternative and I would think that you will need between 500 and 550lb/in springs.
If you have existing torsion bars it should be quite easy to work out the wheel rate with the bars and select suitable coils to achieve the wheel rate you want to use.

I've got an 87 backdate and have gone to rear coilovers. Ive got 8inch rear tyres
On elephant racing site they recommend 300lb/ft springs for their fast road cars. However I was wary of that as I know they like to go stupidly stiff and I liked the compliance I had at the rear
Eventually plumped for 250 and for me they are spot on - similar to the stock torsion bars that were there before - which is exactly what I wanted
I run it without torsion bars and have strengthened the mount tops
