R.I.P. John and Judith Woodget

Fellow DDK'ers, it is my very sad duty to bring you news of the deaths of John and Judith Woodget, following a road accident in July.
We knew John on here as Spillers, the owner of an ambitious '67S restoration project.
They were a couple that were truly at the heart of their community, and very much looking forward to enjoying John's recent retirement from Intel. Reports of their recent funeral confirm their widespread popularity, to the degree that many had to listen to the service from outside.
I had the pleasure of meeting them at their lovely home in Wiltshire a year or so ago, and was struck by their widespread interests and enthusiasm for life.
They will clearly be hugely missed by a great range of people, and I'm sure you'd like to join me in offering our sincere condolences to their family and friends.

That is such terrible news. My sincere condolences to the family although, unlike you, I never met them. It is so sad when someone has worked hard all their life ready to enjoying sharing a well earned retirement doing the things we all would look forward to and such a tragedy happens.
Very very sad news indeed.

That's extremely sad news,
I had the pleasure of speaking to and meeting John before and after the purchase of his 67S.
And I was only talking to Jonathan P on Tuesday regarding the finish he'd applied to John's steering wheel......

Very sad indeed. I spent a good hour or so in John's company chatting about his ambitious 67S restoration. A nice man who was excited about the challenge ahead. RIP.

I met John twice, as our paths crossed because of a part of one of these cars that has brought us all together in different ways. I liked him immediately, a real gentleman, warm hearted, considerate and kind
This is a shock to read and terrible news, as that car was part of the next chapter of his life that he was so passionate about and looking forward to restoring
My deepest respects to his family, I will miss him

That is indescribably sad. Always worse when the persons involved share a common interest. RIP.
