Not this year but I went about 6 years ago for a lone long weekend.
Breathtaking is the only way to describe it! See the public 'performing' on the old 'Ring - everything from full race 911's to White Van man, including Granny with grandkids in a Renault - the 12 hour race for classics, Canam cars racing in the fog (!). Massive Porsche presence.
Highly recommended.

I'll be there with Chris Clark. Great event, like a Goodwood Revival but way better IMHO ( I risk a flaming on this especially after my recent cyclist post but !! ).
The reason I say better than Revival is that the German manufacturers , and there are many of them, try to out do each other as to what they show, exhibit and race. Of course the Rvival is very good but when you have to travel long distances to both then for me its the OGP.

It was great!
I had a blast of a weekend!
We arrived at the Ring Camping on friday and set up our tents:

Remarkable how the colour of our cars grew towards the colour of our hair over the years...
The night from friday to saturday we had some serous bad weather with lots of squalls...
Saturday was a sultry, hazy dampy day, but the races and cars made up for it!
Do you remember this one?

That was March...
And that was how it looked this weekend:
And it was driven hard again... Not by Jochen Mass though...
