Well after many years of red prancing horses we have now added our first Porsche to the fold in the shape of a 1966 LHD matching numbers 912 with sunroof
will start the restoration thread later as total rebuild required and look forward to talking to you all going forward, lots of advice will be needed I'm sure but from just a few weeks searching on here I can see problem solving won't be an issue...

Welcome

good choice with a '66 - bit different to your Ferrari's though.

indeed but always loved the shape, style etc and passed my test in a 1969 VW which went onto to be my first restoration, back to the air cooled scene is fine with me :cheese:

Welcome... Never part with those cosmics if they're genuine!

Alternatively, sell me those cosmics if they're genuine!

Where are you in Stamford?

Yes they are genuine and thought they might have been special as have had a lot if interest in them before the car had even arrived in the UK....

Car will go back to original colour of slate grey with red ox blood interior 8)

Welcome. Your love the 912. Very different from what your used to. The 912 has a lovely little engine, great fun to drive.

Slate grey with red sound fantastic. Look forward to seeing it

Just wanted to say a quick hello as I can't be far from you (I live in Bainton).
I have a RHD 67 912 which has been at the bodyshop for the past 14 months undergoing an extensive restoration - went to see it last night for the first time since it was sprayed (silver) and it looks incredible. Can't wait to get it back home now and start re-assembling!
Delighted to have a fellow owner nearby.
Matt
