These carbs tend to have a poor reputation for reliable performance and suffer from a few problems which can be difficult to remedy.
One of the main issues is that when they have been standing the accelerator pump and associated galleries can fill up with debris and need unblocking.

This debris also blocks up the ball valves that controls the accelerator pump and vacuum operated enrichment circuit.
The lower ball valve is also made of brass and tends to corrode and this allows a leak which stops the carbs from operating correctly.
We are currently working on a few sets of these carbs and have built up a reasonable level of knowledge and spares inventory.
