Sill pipe nipple

Whilst in Le Mans I managed to disturb my front oil cooler external sill lines while changing a flat. It cracked the brazed nipple on the end of the pipe that goes to the oil thermostat. (I run an SC system)

The plan was to remove the nipple clean it up and re-braze it back on but we managed to damage the nipple when we removed it. I have had a look on the web but am unable to find a replacement.

Does anyone know what type of fitting they are or can point me in the right direction.

Kind regards.

John , I made them for my car from brass bar. Easy to make another if you have a bit of bar ? Or maybe cut a couple off some damaged lines. I would silver solder rather than braze, too close to the line melting point to use brass braze.
Actually I think the originals are steel ? You will know having taken one off recently ?

Hi Andy

Yes the originals are steel. We will make one if we can't find any.

Kind Regards

Hi John,

If you buy a cheap front oil cooler flexible hose from Eurocarparts you with have 2 new steel nipples and 2 new nuts also.
