Hi everyone

My partner and I have owned a 1966 Porsche 912 for the last 10 years and only just got around to joining the Forum!

Our main interest is in road rallies and we enter around five per year mostly in mainland Europe but one or two UK ones as well. The car has been developed over time for rallying but is currently in the workshop for a general overhaul and engine rebuild. I will post some pictures "on event" and also of work in progress.

Thanks for taking the time to read this

John

Welcome, how does the 912 compare to class opposition , I assume you are in some sort of up to 1650cc class or similiar?

Thanks for all the welcome posts.

I guess I should move to another section now but just to answer the question from majordad.
The engine is a 1720cc which puts us usually in the 2.0L class. I had thought about putting it back to 1600cc to drop a class but we seem to be doing ok where we are and we usually manage a top ten position unless we have a really bad day which does happen sometimes.
Road rallying needs luck on your side as well as everything else to get a good result. You need the farm tractor and the flock of sheep to come out of the field just behind you not just in front of you.

I will post some pics over the weekend and if anyone is interested give more details of the car.
