Hi.
I am going to rebuild my front suspension, including struts.
Reading a few posts on pelican it would appear that the elephant racing rubber bushes are the best option for the A arms.
Does anyone know if these are available in the UK or even Europe.
Not the poly bushes but rubber or any other good replacement?
If so any recomendations would be welcome

i think they are only available from the US. If you want rubber i think they are the only option without buying new A arms.

URO also make a rubber bush for the A Arms but it is a 'slip-in' replacement and doesn't do the job very well.

As described by Elephant Racing the Standard bush is fitted with a significant amount of force as the hole in the centre of the bush is much smaller than the OD of the A Arm.

This radial compression significantly increases the static stiffness of the bush and A Arm location without reducing the high frequency damping behaviour. They are, however, tricky to fit and we have made a simple hydraulic jig which makes it straightforward.

We have been making our own bushes for some time now using an NBR material which is around 20% harder than the stock bush. We have fitted around 30 sets so far and they work quite well.

The fit is also identical to the stock bush. They start at 35mm long and stretch to the installed length of 55mm as the expand radially over the A Arm.

The ER Bush has a slightly larger ID than the stock bush which makes it a little easier to fit but does also reduce the radial compression a little.

We always have these bushes in stock.

I fitted the ER rubbers to Ferry Man's Carrera 2.7. It was a little more difficult than fitting Superpros, but they supply a tool to align them while they are pressed on. The resulting ride and handling is superb, highly recommended.

We have also made the Camber Plate Bushes for 1965-1970 cars to the correct pattern as these parts have often been replaced by incorrect bushes or with the later camber plates with larger bushes.
