On my 69 912 three of the indicators are not working.
Two fronts and one rear
I have checked all the bulbs and fitting and they are fine, however Max at Revival suggested there is a master plug and socket that could be disconnected but I could not grasp where that plug was situated.
There is no feed to the plugs at the inner wings at the front end for the front indicators and as all this is subsequent to the car having the front wings being removed to allow the car to be resprayed it makes sense the paint shop may not have reconnected or not noticed they had pulled it apart when removing and refitting the wings

Hi Lee,

All from memory of my '66 car - but there are three master plugs that join from the dash area to the front trunk via the bulkhead.
One has the connector direct from the indicator stalk.

In the trunk you can see the three rectangular connectors at the bulkhead on the side with the fuse box.

Maybe these are the master plugs that Max is talking about.
I am not aware of any other large plugs on the indicators as they generally wire straight from the fuse box.

Can you use a volt meter to test the resistance between one side of the fuse and and connector at the indicator? Could that tell you if there is a connection issue?

Have you trying cleaning all of the contact points as that was my problem? I had some paint on the contact from the wire to the indicator until.

On my 69, there are round connector plugs by the battery boxes on either side of the car in the front bonnet area.
See if these are connected, pull them out clean the contacts and replace. Use electrical contact cleaner from Maplin, cleans the contacts and stops them corroding again.

In the rear back of the fan housing, the support bar for the rear suspension pick up points, follow that bar from one side to the other. There are If I recall 3 connectors for all the electrics going to the rear of the car. You can not see it that well because the fan housing hides them.

If you have power, its likely to be a bad earth

Thanks everyone, suffice to say given my history working in my youth with car electrics as a car audio specialist I am incredibly embarrassed to report that my problem was cured with some Emory cloth and a 12v tester. The bloody obvious is invariably the cause but as I had removed wings and fiddled around the flasher relay I went for the complicated before looking in the fuse box !!
