My car was originally supplied with Blue Leatherette with Madras check inlay.

Is anyone able to post some reference images or suggest a source?

I think Gary at Classic Fx has this but keen to get some alternatives to ensure the match is correct.

Your quest is going to be easier than mine. The Madras was made in Blue, Beige and Red. Between (1974 to 1977). Southbound in Stockbridge have in stock quantities of the Blue and Beige.
I have been seeking the Red which is not available anywhere. I am now (Hopefully) having 10 yards (minimum quantity) weaved for me so I can get my 1975 911S back to it's original interior.

I think the pattern is going to have to grow on me.

It would not be my first choice but I think its wrong not to stick to the original build when I am restoring the car.

Can you send me on a link to the page that shows you seats being recovered etc. I had a quick scan through last night but it was taking forever with some many pages. Alternatively if you could post up some pictures again. Who did you use for your seats?

although interiors seem less sensitive to being non original than say paint ..

A seat can be retrimmed at any point , so I'd say stick to what you like

I have only managed to quickly flick through some of the pages with the posts you made documenting the work completed by Southbound, I will enjoy going through this tonight. I have to say the quality of the work looks sensational. Its great to have your thread as a resource to look back on and follow, top class.

I should also say, I think I agree, the Madras will look pretty special.

As we all end up collecting numerous parts for our cars (I have, at the last count, 6 pairs of front seats) it might be quite easy to have a set prepared in the original specification, and then have a set done to your liking.

Thanks Jon. Did you ever manage to find any ownership history on the car, I am keen to try and trace as much detail as possible. I will try and source the original build sheet from Porsche and then start from there but if you had any detail it would be great. Not having the car registered for the road makes it difficult, I have usually just paid the DVLA for an ownership check. I assume once is registered for the road then it might all fall into place?
