Seat leather.

Has anyone had their seats upholstered in leather recently ? The (unoriginal) vinyl covers on my 356 seats have come to the end of their useful life and I thought I'd explore the possibility of doing them in luxury leather.
Ideally I like them to look worn in straight away, not that modern matt, flat finish leather I've seen on some restored cars. I do know that the leather used for car interiors is pretty special stuff as it has to withstand constant UV exposure and resist the type of wear you don't get on sofas for example.
Two names, Nappa and Connolly, spring to mind but that's about as much as I know.
Any recommendations for trimmers, covers or types of leather gratefully recieved.
