So a 1979 Targa comes your way, but the poor thing has suffered a crisis of fashion and now wears 964 bumpers, skirts and lights, and has an '86 3.2 motor fitted (albeit quite well done) and and '85 915 (with oil cooler).





Originally the car was Copper Brown Metallic, there is no History to speak of and no idea of mileage on the engine but it seems strong and shows signs of having been apart (oil return tubes are newish and the one piece type)

So what would you do with it? Lets assume you got left a few quid from a relative and you've got nothing else to spend it on.

Just a bit of fun for Sunday afternoon....

Just recommision, drive it and enjoy it

I'd then spend the inheritance on women and song

But skip the singing.

Car looks nice, good engine/box mod.
Nice Porsche to use for the right minded car enthusiast.

And it's a Targa, so very fashionable!

Just having a power break and off out again shortly.

Take the tail off then smoke around in it like it's 1995 and you own a gym in Cheshire.

During this time, put in a load of saved searches on eBay for the early impact bumper parts you need to get it back to standard. Grab whatever comes up cheap and stash it away.

Then, then the car needs loads of bodywork because you've been smoking-around in it 12-months a year, rain or shine, like a gym owner from Cheshire, take the 964 stuff off and put the car back to standard.

Then sell the 964 parts, buy a load of big, square clothes so you can smoke around in it like its the late 80s and you own a betting shop on Mile End Road.
