I have some play in the butterfly spindle in my IDA carbs on my SC engine. On one of the carbs the spindle is vibrating with the engine intake pulses at tick over, making a knocking sound.
I see from the exploded view of the carbs there is a bushing at each end, it's a very thin plastic tube on the one end I have managed to remove. Are these bushings available?
Is it more likely I'll need to get the body drilled and rebushed?

Re: Weber IDA spindle movement
The supports at the end of the spindles are PTFE Strips which are cut at an angle rather than tubes. It could be that someone has already mucked about with them.
You can get them from Eurocarb Part Number 52130.010 at £1.50 + VAT each.
I had a couple of hundred CNC Knife cut last year but am struggling to find them although they will eventually turn up.
I would offer to post you some but it could take some while to find them.
