One of my wind screen washer jets isn't working.

In the above image it is the right hand jet. I pulled parts 9 & 7 from the back of the jet (part 10). Then took off 9 and checked that I could blow air through it. Then I tried turned on the pump again and still wasn't getting any water out of the end of the pipe (part 7) but strangely it had water in it. Next I figured 8 the t junction must be blocked but can't figure got how to separate it from the pipes. I'm guessing they just pull apart?

Neil - have you checked that the 2 holes in the nozzle are clear ? You can use a fine needle to unblock them.

Also, part 9 is a one-way valve - have you got it the right way round ?

I was going to ask about that since I could only blow throw it one way However, the water isn't getting to part 9 since I run it with the pipe remove and no water was getting to the end of the pipe. I think I should go back with a needle to the T junction and see if I can clean it.

I'm following this thread with interest !

Can you pull the pipe off the pump end and try the pump. Maybe the pump is working but the vanes in the pump are not pushing the water out.

My pump is so gutless it barely pushes the water up, but I have exactly the same problem, I'm getting water to the right hand side squirter but not the left, I've had it all apart and you can barely blow through the (number 9) on the left. But the pump is shagged methinks.

On each side you will find a non-return valve, one is an L valve the other is a T valve. These valves often block and will prevent the proper flow of water through the washer jets unless they are replaced (I normally keep at least 5 of each as they are used so often).

Replacement will usually solve the problems you describe.

Where do you get them from ?????

I recently cleared my jets by attaching my air line to it and blowing high pressure air through it. Cleared it beautifully

While you are playing; remember to clean the Foot Valve (Item 3) and check that it is actually doing it`s job and working as a Non Return Valve

I do have lots of aftermarket 60s and 70s screen washer parts non return valves, 3 way conectors, ect lots of odd waster jets not porsche! if you need anything just ask.
