Hella Reversing Light Identification

Post by Nobsie »

Hi,

Found a single small Hella lamp within the pile of bits that came with my 67 912.

A quick google search has identified that this may have been used as reversing lamps on 356's and possibly Mercedes in the 1960's ? (has brow over the lense)

Glass states Hella centrally, 82333-3 left bottom and 1819PR right side ?

Back casing and glass look original (no side rivets), cover / brim may be repro ?

I assume this is not suited to my car ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there

the lamp isn't off the 912 (or any Mercedes).

I've seen them used on VW's and parts may fit the reversing light for the 356 (without the chrome backing).
