South Wales 'Mini-Meet'

On Saturday (26th) myself, Ian and Paul got together at a sutiable hostelry in Cardiff (or rather just outside) for the 'Mini-Meet' - nothing to do with small BMW's I hasten to add, but rather the select nature of the group!!

All three cars were (of course) as intended left hookers and all 3 ex US, Ian's 912 looking particularly fab, but I loved the wonderfully retro colour of Paul's....lots of admiring glances and interest in between our discussions then we headed off for a short cruise.

We headed off along the nearby Penarth seafront, again much admired, with a couple of piccies even being taken by others as we drove along  - who knows, maybe 911 owners of the future??? Then into the Vale of Glamorgan for a 'blast' only for the selected sections of road now sporting a '50' limit and random Japanese saloons to boot!!

Never mind tho, it was great to meet you guys and see a couple of early Porsches in the mirror.

Watch this space everyone, we will be planning a full day pretty soon to take in some lovely Welsh scenery.....and we promise not to say the words 'Grand Slam' once......well okay maybe I lied about that bit!!

Cool pics,
Saw a big ugly bloke at VWoodstock with a Chartreuse car like that - wonder if it's the same bloke! :P  Was he throwing biscuits at you?

I'm not that big! I just have an underactive thyroid gland..and I'm big boned. That's why I throw biscuits, because it stops me from eating them.

It was great to meet up, have a good chat and go for a drive. The cars really did seem to get a fair bit of attention, we even got a wave from a 996 cabriolet driver! Just got to work on those boxter drivers now. I'm definately up for the full day meet.

we'll have to book the sunshine again!

It's normally good to head up towards Brecon past the reservoirs...
