Just popping my head around the door..

Many thanks for adding me to forum.

My name is Adrian and I live in the north west of England.

I have been around Porsche for the last 24 years and bought my first 944 when I was 21.

I have always been intrigued by the 914 mostly because of its some may say quirky styling( I love it personally!) and its rarity in the uk.

I have come to the stage where I am in a position to buy one of these cars.
I have been doing as much research as possible and I have come to the conclusion that from an economics point of view it would be better for me to find a very nice, restored ,standard example.

I am no stranger to restoration having owned many Kawasaki triples over the years and now owning a mk2 Escort that I restored myself.

So if anybody could offer buying advice or perhaps if you know of a very good example that may be available,i would appreciate the heads up.

Adrian :)

welcome Adrian

I agree with your sentiments about finding a well restored car - there are some nice cars out there but there are many that need lots of money spending on them.

I'm sure if you take your time and look at a number you'll start to understand what is factory correct and what isn't.

914's have a great following - if you get a good one, you won't regret buying it!

Good luck

Ian

Thanks for the comments chaps..

Adam, isn't it just! :blackeye:

I am sure most must know of Adam but he really is a top bloke, very helpful and totally blows out of the water any thought that visiting an OPC will be met with high browed stuffiness. I can't recommend Porsche Bolton enough.
