It's a crazy idea but..

As per my post in the "introduction" section I'm refurbishing the Porsche over summer so been taking in a number of local agricultural type shows.. To cut a long story short I now have a hankering for a Porsche Junior tractor so let's be clear I've learnt lots about air-cooled over a number of years but:

I know little if anything about tractors...
I've never driven one...
I want to use it for short on the road journeys (local shows) but could transport it...
I've no idea what the going rate is for a top/bottom condition Junior...

Having just turned 55yrs the wife is used to my crazy world but I'm handy with the spanners and have boundless (blind) enthusiasm..

So there you go your thoughts and advice would be most welcome.

Cheers, Des

I have no need whatsoever for a tractor...however, after a four year restoration mine is finally finished (well, nearly!). I can definitely say it's worth seeking one out, but my one piece of advice would be to make sure you get one that is all up and running.

Hi Des.

Looking at your location you can't be too far away from me here in Chesterfield (I'm literally 5 mins down the A61 from Sheffield). Feel free to pop round & I'll let you have a look round my Junior & A111.

Once upon a time Peter Bradley had a fantastic collection of Porsche tractors on Abbeydale Road in Sheffield but he sold up a while ago, I'm sure he'd still be happy to discuss things with you, as I am.

There are several other people of note who are happy to help, one being John Hearn down in Colchester who's a top bloke & really helpful.

I'll pm you my number if you wish to discuss anything. In the mean time there's a Junior for sale in Cornwall which looks a great starting point despite the colour!
