Hi,
New to the forum looks very helpful and friendly. So can someone tell me where I can get some calibration fluid for an mfi pump, as I will be putting it in storage for some time. Is castrol 4113 calibration fluid ok to use? Also the minimum you can buy is 20 litres and I only need a litre. any advce would be most welcome. Stefan ( Glorious Devon)

opie oils do Viscor (20 ltrs min as far as I know). I'm planning on buying 20 ltrs for my MFI tester project. I can probably do you a ltr . I have no idea about practicalities of shipping this. I just need to verify the correct type of fluid. Viscor 16 I believe

Thanks , I would be interested in buying a litre if you do get some. I can find out about shipping and costs.

Shame ! Opie only do the diesel injector fluid, Viscor 1487. Cast roll 4113 is also diesel injector test fluid.... So it looks like I'm looking again. Sorry

Hi Tim,
Regarding the type of calibration fluid. I've just been on the phone to Gus Pfister of Pacific Fuel Injection in California, one of the top mfi rebuilders in the U.S. as to the type of calibration fluid I can use for storing the pump. Apparently diesel calibration fluid is fine also AUTOMATIC transmission fluid is ok as it is a very fine oil. As to testing I don't know. If you haven't already been on it, go on Pelican Parts there's some good information on Bosch Mechanical Fuel Injection. If you want to talk to Gus his number is 001 650 588 8880 you will find him very helpful.
Regards Stefan
