Wow, this continues to put our 'well loved' race car to shame (but she keeps soldiering on!):

Fantastic work Kieron, I love catching up with this!

76. Seam sealing...

Seam sealing is one of the most critical processes when it comes to long term protection. Darren and Rich replicate the (very rough) factory finish where needed although there are few areas that wouldn’t have been sealed like the roof, which they also seal but they try to keep these discreet.

Hi Tom - As you probably know Darren has spent much time researching how our cars were painted at the factory and I was keen to take advantage of his (and Rich's) knowledge so very early on I knew I wanted the full 'as it left the factory overspray version' that they can produce and I've got to say the results are fantastic. .... the only slight downside to all this effort and detail is that most of it will be covered up in one way or another.

I see that Barry and Darren have provided some advice regarding preparation and paint for your shell over on Adam's thread, but if you need any images of specific areas send me a PM.

Darren tells me that every single spot of overspray is indiviually hand painted by Rich..

Great progress on your car Kieron, as you would expect from Darren and Rich the paint looks fantastic.
Great to see you decided to replicate factory paint finish

The best of it all, Barry metal, Richard paint and the detail work from both.
Beautiful.

Wow. Outstanding! I doubt one of these cars ever left the factory as carefully prepared as this. World class work.

Thanks for sharing Kieron,

Paul
