Hi everyone,

I've been reading this forum for a couple of years now, but am constantly in awe of the quality and variety of machines on the site so was a little reluctant to introduce myself!

I've got a '76 2.7 which I've now had for 3.5years.

The early cars were out of my league, and this model has the feeling of a true classic car in that it's more unusual than the later ones. It also had a rebuilt engine and good history. It now has some bodywork issues which need correcting over the next year or two, but unfortunately my girlfriend decided that we should restore a 1 owner Fiat 500 this year, so the piggybank is currently empty!

I'm in Stoneleigh so it would be good to catch up with some of the other (remarkable) local cars and their owners in the future.

Chris

Two really nice cars, mate of mine has a blue 500, he can park it sideways in his garage.

Thanks for the kind words. The 911 is a bit of a 10 footer, but getting there! Unlikely to make the show at the weekend unfortunately as we have relatives visiting.

Couple of pictures of the Volvo below - it's been a slow burn restoration with my dad, but we'll hopefully get all the shiny bits bolted on over the winter.

All you need to add is a 1972 built 911!
The Fiat 500 is a great car, totally agree the 2.7 is a classic & worth investing in. I know my Dad loved his Volvo, it was the less cool 'modern' version the 480ES ... your Dad is clearly cooler than mine!
I'm sure you will enjoy DDK & get invaluable support.
