Clutch cable guide bracket thingy???

hello all,
does anyone know the technical term for this little piece which holds/guides the clutch cable on a 71T
(apologies for poor picture) and also if known where could I get one from
any info much appreciated

Thats the clutch guide and it is part of the gear box side plate.

Many thanks Alan, please forgive my stupidity but is this actually part of the gearbox housing then, or is it a seperate piece? I have a fabricated guide on my car which has been ok for a while, but now its not doing the job very well so Im looking for a more permanent solution.
So i was wondering if it's a seperate piece is it going to be possible to find one?

Hi,
Originally its part of the side plate. I am sure you could make something up as a replacement but if you want to find a new one, I think you will need to find an old/broken box and just take the side plate.
I sold one a few years ago to a chap that was in the same situation as you.
Does this picture help? You can just see the guide section under the drive shaft flange.

Thanks Alan that's really helpfull, one heck of a job just to replace a cable guide huh ! oh well looks like I'll be going down the home made route for now then, I do have someone who can make me one.
obviously it's not ideal so I think I'll keep my eyes open for a broken gearbox with the sideplate in tact, and if any future repairs warrant the engine/box coming out i get the sideplates swapped then.
