Hello from the Netherlands

Hi guys,
I'm Hans (aka Hummel) from Zwolle, Netherlands. I'm also a member of the Dutch 356 Speedster forum, as is Ronald de Jong (Rometsch build). My love for the classic Porsche dates back from when I was a child. We used to live near to a Rijkspolitie station (State police), that used to control the highways back in the days. As some of you may know, they used to drive 356C convertibles, 911 Targa and the odd 914 Porsches. Needless to say I was thoroughly impressed... Never made it as a policeman though, grew up and studied engineering and specialized in industrial design en graphic design. That's what I'm into now, owning a business together with 2 others designers.
I seem to have a soft spot for anything that's got to do with german engineering, I'm into RC modeling (planes, ducted fans, turbines and gliders) as well as classic slot cars (Fleischmann).
Currently the build of a Motorious/Pilgrim Speedster is on its way, not an uneventful build to say the least, but we'll get there. The build takes place at a workshop of fellow enthusiast builder who is heavily involved into the 550 and 718 replicas as well.
The ultimate goal I guess is to find and restore a SWB 912 to a sort of outlaw, light, road legal racing spec. car. Originality is not the biggest concern in my book, but I want to treat the Porsche heritage with respect.
Enclosed some pic's and a rendering of things that keep me busy at the time.
Hope to make some contributions to this forum the coming months, but I must say that the level of the builds over here is an inspiration on its own.

Plug for the mould of custom bucket seat that fits my behind and allows for a really "deep" seat
Current status of the build, paint job after the holidays...will take another month and a half
