I'd be up for this again especially as I'll have an 'appropriate' car to take along this time.
Plus we'll get to see how good the Porsche Centre network are at restoring cars!

Oh yes.
Picking apart dealer restorations sounds like better fun than the driving bit to me. I turned up late to the last one and just drank the free coffee. I think I'll be on time for this one.*
* I still won't pay or drive, I'm only in it for the free coffee and anoraking.

I went last time, but couldn't enjoy it as much as my engine was making a rattling noise as soon as I arrived at Silverstone. I kept appologising to the instructors about the noise. So did the YouDrive and drove home on the motorway. It turned out the chain tensioner had failed and a lump of the plastic from the chain follower had broekn off and was floating around. I was extremely lucky it never found its way into the engine.
Would like to go again so I can enjoy it fully this time.
Mike

Would like to come along as a spectator - any passenger laps on offer

Do I have to park well away from the area or is there 'none Porsche' parking ? Can I pay a fiver for passenger laps ?

Anything beyond their skill level gets farmed out to the usual early specialists. Your rebuilt engine may not indeed have been rebuilt at the OPC, nor the bodywork nor the refurbished wheels, etc ,etc.

It's all done beside an instructor, so you'd have to squeeze in the back!
There is plenty of parking right outside.
More stuff here :
http://www.porsche.com/silverstone/ With my old car standing proudly at the top of page one. I do like what I did with those side decals. That was a brilliant little car.

I've just registered to attend, although at the moment it seems this is still in the process of being organized?
Maybe they're gauging interest first?
