I used to own a 968 Sport and it was a great car

The 968 Clubsport is regularly cited as one of the best ever handlers and top 10 cars of the last few decades

only 179 produced in RHD

now I know its not a 911, its not a flat 6 and its not air cooled but even so... with a recent 911 CS for sale at £100k

I couldnt resist this lovely black with red sidewinders RHD 40k miles minter as an addition to the garage and a future classic that I think will gently compound away at above inflation. It came with a 6 inch thick history file, every service receipt etc and is in fantastic condition for something thats nearly 20 years old..

previous owner has done a minor upgrade to an F40

Already a Classic in my eyes. Owners seem to rave about the handling of the CS - I've always fancied one. Good buy!

This was mine; a rhd non-sunroof car with a/c and Recaros. It wasn't a UK market car, but had a mph speedo and German dash graphics. I spent plenty of money on new suspension, big brakes and some trick bits - it went very well. I once drove to it to see a 964RS I was thinking of buying, but the 968 convinced me it was better at fast road & occasional trackday duties so I saved the £26k asked for the RS*.

I sold it to buy a new Cayman and often regret it. Sadly the next owner ruined it by putting in a cage, rock hard suspension etc.

Congratulations Dan, that looks perfect. I thought how good that looks when it popped up on here a short time ago and nice to see it going to a good home, where it'll get appreciated, as well as appreciating

One question though - how does a car with only 40,000 miles on it have a 6" thick history file? How much servicing does a car with 40k miles on it need?

last 15 years tax discs
all MOT certs
all hand books
all original Porsche leaflets and marketing material for the CS
the labels off the last set of tyres !
and a 4 page magazine article from last year by Andrew Frankel on this car

Ahh I see. Thought it was all history paperwork - thought it must have a lot of work done, was interested in what it may have been.

Does it have LSD, M030 suspension and M030 Arbs? If not do all the M030 stuff and keep the originals. Transforms the car!
