I thought I should officially introduce myself, now that my car has finally arrived and post up some all important pictures.

The forum has been an excellent resource to date for a beginner like myself. I apologise in advance for any stupid questions I might ask in the future. Through the forum I have had some invaluable advice during the search for my car, Mike (210HP) has been excellent.

My car was Italian delivered and has been in Spain for the last 10 or so years. The advert was posted up via the early 911 registry under the 911T Cars for Sale thread, if it had not appeared on this I would never have found it. Real obscure Spanish website that the owner had posted the car on. On account of not being able to speak Spanish, I used a Real Estate agent to act as an interpreter over the last couple of month to complete the deal and liaise with the owner on the sale and then the legals. Not the easiest car purchase I have had! I should also say I have had a few sleepless nights having bought the car unseen. There were lots of pictures and other detail but it was still a relief to have a real good crawl over and under the car at the weekend. All appears to be solid, still early days and I will be taking recommendation from Mike to car the car checked out mechanically, etc, etc. First real task is MOT and then registration so that I can get out end enjoy it.

Looks a lovely example

Welcome to DDk, the car looks lovely.

Those 500w interior light bulbs are brilliant but will drain the battery if you leave a door open for any length of time.

Margaret - Well spotted, the pictures were taken at Chatelherault. I tried to get up in front of the Lodge to take some pictures when I took the car out for a quick spin, unfortunately the barrier was down.

In terms of a boy or a girl, never really thought too much about it. Now that you mention it, originally from Italy, Light Ivory skin with black leather finished off with some bright silver chrome. She sounds as good as she looks. My wife will be getting worried about me!

Dougie - Thanks for the invite, once the car is fully registered and all checked over I am keen to get out in it for a decent run, a drive down your way would be good. I assume you must be down Dumfries, Stranraer or thereabouts. Mike (210HP) has recommended that I put the car to MB Porsche - Kendal (I think that was the recommendation) to have it checked over thoroughly, so keen to do that before I let myself loose.

Roughly half way between the two Tom, just outside Newton Stewart.
