It was a lovely 914, I also had a RHD 914 at that time and at that meet, not a Crayford and sitting in Ian's revealed all the areas where the Crayford conversion was better at retaining the "feel" of the original 914 than mine had been. Still I had a blast in my orange 2:0 litre that day on track and subsesquently and wish I'd not sold mine either... it would have been relatively easy to make the changes to get it just right rather than come back to 914's years later with a rustier version :)

Yes that's one of mine, which I was thinking of selling last year but haven't done anything about it since.

Only got it back out of "long term storage" at Chaos's place a year or so ago---really must get it out to play soon (another New year's Resolution.
cheers

Hi Phil, I too remember your car, was it done by a firm called something like County Classics or someone like that?
If I remember correctly they moved the pedals back, or something, which gave restricte leg room.
Very pretty car though.

Thank you Andy for sharing your old photos of 914s, many taken at Stanford Hall VW Show.
Stanford Hall line ups are from 2004 and 2006.
For many years there was a 914 Club Display at the show, a very popular show for 914s owners back in those days.
Some of those fourteens I have not seen for sometime.
A couple of mine featured in the line ups.

This is my UK ’73 2.0 in Alaska Blue Metallic in the concours 2006 line up.

That's mine but I guess it was probably Rob's when the photo was taken.
It's still going well and I intend keeping it long term. "Small" welding job required to offside chassis at the moment, see my thread.

AGU used to be mine and it used to be Zambesi Green

i parted with it after being T-boned by a fat woman in a Skoda , it was later put back on the road by DDK member Woolie and at the time of this photo was probably owned by DDK member and famous 911 metalwork guru Barry
