Anyone know when the Bosch H-4 light assembly, commonly referred to as the "Euro" H-4 was first introduced?

Was it at the same time as the Bosch H-1 assembly used on European models from '69.

If so, were H-1's an option . . .

Need the info today hence the post.

According to Dr Johnson, H-1s were introduced on 1968 and updated in 1970. The H-4 became standard fitment in all countries except France and US in 1973. No mention if the H-1 was still available as an option.
