DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

I have removed the circlips holding the timing chain sprockets in place on the intermediate shaft, applied some light heat to the sprockets, used a lightweight pulley puller so as not to apply excessive force but they want to remain in place. Any ideas?
I am also replacing the aluminium gear

You need a three leg puller on the back of the sprocket with little slips of aluminium between the puller and sprocket, if its scrap between the tooth rows works. You should remove the alloy plug in the end of the shaft to give the puller a centre but its worth turning up a cap to sit on the end of the shaft with a little centre in it so you dont screw up the shaft winding the puller against it. The sprocket will be tight, the old shock when loaded trick seems to work well. The intermediate gear is easy just remember new lock tabs when refitting, but you know that any way I would guess.
