Chesterfield new boy signs in. No truancy for me today. Looks an interesting site everybody......have enjoyed reading a few posts over the last few months and look forward to a bit of banter with you all

With a heavy heart I'll need to post in 'for sale' soon......my beloved 993. It's dean1057's fault to be fair. I've bought his 996 turbo. All those jokes about water-cooled 911s too - I've had to swallow my pride for now. The lads have loved having 996/997 'kettle' gags over the years - and now I've gone and bought one. ALL his fault

Sure I said "if you ever sell it" etc etc - but I didn't bloody mean now in the depths of a UK economy meltdown. Every penny and a bit more :tongue5: Just as well I no longer have a wife otherwise I might have had to have considered using the central heating this winter hey..... Still at least Dean and I can form the 'blue 911 man group' now

OK off to work. Have a great day anyone who's reading. GB

I think he means Chesterfield the town. Home to the football club that lost the first ever Football League Play Off final to the mighty Us on that memorable Wembley day that saw us up to the third division.

Either that or the sofa.

Well well well! It's started (the banter). I've looked at my original post (again) to see if I've dropped any football references in there......can't see any! But I am keen and I was there on that fateful day Sam. WITHOUT cheating on the web - youtube etc etc.....I'd say 1991 approx and a near post 1-0 header/winner scored by a certain Dion Dublin. Am I right?

Not bad. 1990 I think, as it was the year I went up to big school, but you can be forgiven as the tears have probably smudged your memory a little. ;)

We went up again the next year.

And got into the playoffs for the new Premier League the year after.

Then fell like a stone to the warm comfort of non league football :(
