Yorkshire Member Introduction (at last !!!!)

Hi everybody...

It's about time I introduced myself after posting and following DDK for over a year !!!!

Having had 3x 911s over the years I now have a 1960 356B which I love with a passion...whole new floor last year, disc brake conversion and full leather retrim in red.

As i write I am days away from picking up my fully rebuilt + uprated engine from Robert Gant: shasta b+ps,102 cam, rebuilt 40 Dellorto's,full flow oil filter,..everything new or rebuilt...v.expensive but absolute piece of mind !!!.

Car is modelled as an actual car that ran in the 1960 Tulpen Rally in Holland..even down to period decals from photographs..the rally car was owned by my employer in Holland where I drove artics to the Middle East in the 70's. I never forgot my ride in that car and knew I would have one one day.
It has a black rimmed Nardi wheel and period spot lights and interior switchs as well as dash mounted period stop watch.
I have another T5 ...a Vw California chipped to 216 bhp as my main car.
I am retired and live in York in a wooden lodge in a private estate. The vehicles live outside ..the 356 under a Hamilton all weather cover.
Thanks to all for your help and information ( especially Roy !!!). I look forward to running in my new engine soon.
Regards, Kevin

Kevin,
I like T5's and that VW number plate is perfect for you. Its nice to have you on the forum. I used to visit Yorkshire a lot on business till I retired. I stayed often in York, a lovely place.

Yes, I also hope to hear how the engine goes!

Roy
