If it hasnt been replaced or uprated its been replated polished or painted.
Why the welding was being done, hellhole, sills etc, we added extra sill clams, torsion stiff kits and so on, Suspension uprated, poly bronze and so on and so on. Converted to sideshift box with full Rennshift shifter kit.
Before I started on the car, the engine seemed more than enough power for the car. Now the car is stiffer and suspension set up , it feels like the next project will have to be a bigger engine because it now so feels under powered!!

Always stuff to do :)

Regards Mark.

Looks great, have you narrowed the front somehow or does have a lot of neg camber?

Looks familiar has this car been in different DDK ownership in the past?

Thanks for posting the photos. Looks great.

Interesting to see the work in progress photos.

A couple of questions.....
Were the front sway bar mounts already fitted when you bought the fourteen?
The underside of the boot floor is missing the exhaust heat-shield in the photos, was it re-installed after the underside was painted?

Four wheel alignment hadn't been done at this stage so camber not set ! Just took it round the block to bed in the suspension. Plus like a kid on Christmas morning ! Couldn't wait to have a quick blast ! Exhaust heat shield removed for blasting and painting, bolted back on now. This also made it easier to fit rear anti roll bar mounts as we inserted solid packing spacers into the floor box section so not to crush it when bolts are tightened ! Yes anti roll bar mounts where already on the car but no roll bar fitted until now , front and rear are now fitted

Sorry Kev, I can't believe I didn't or havnt yet taken a picture of this ! It's a weltmeister 16mm kit if this helps and 22mm kit for the front .

Do you mean the mounts in the Kit or the where I fixed to the boot floor?

Regards mark

Ahh yes, I remember Phil wrapped up in his duvet in the boot keeping warm one not so sunny Stanford.

Think you've done him proud Mark.

Probably not that clear but packers and holes drilled for rear sway bar mounts.

not sure if this helps Kev.?
