Hi Guys,

Have been a virtual visitor for a while now but as the arrival of the new "baby" draws near I thought I had better make it official!

For better or for worse I have bought unseen a 914 from the States which is arriving next month - someone please tell me I'm not mad so I can show my wife! It's a '75 basket case but without any rust...(?) Well the price was right and as I have access to cheap freight from the west coast it seemed a good idea at the time. The kids are leaving/have left home so it's time for a project.

I'll warn you in advance I'm going to asking some pretty basic questions over the coming months so be gentle with me!!

Excellent, another 914 on the forum. Welcome to the fold (and no you're not mad...... Not yet anyways....)

Any pics of your purchase?

Phew!, thanks for the welcome. you know how it is sometimes with forums, can be a bit "clicky" if you'll pardon the pun!!

I'm in South Bristol, not sure if there are any like minded souls down this way but my interest was kindled a year or so ago when there was a group of 914's (foreign registered) on the M5 south, presumably on the way to an event? Which reminds me any events this year anyone can suggest are worthwhile to touch base with like minded souls??

Hi Porky

welcome to DDK

I guess you are probably referring to cars which attended the 914 International event back in June 2010.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the '14

cheers

Ian
