New guy...

Hi all

Just wanted to come and say hi and introduce myself and my new 914...

She's an import from the states, 1975 1.8 and, if all goes to plan i'll be driving her down through France next month to be my wedding car.

I'm a big Porsche fan - especially the 914 after my dad had one about 20 years ago (Reg: OEU 123J if anyone know what happened to that?) so it only seemed right to get one now.

I'm based in London, but until the 914 get the last little bits of trim put on the car will be down in Bristol - when it's in London though do feel free to come round and kick some tyres!

Being a 914 owner can seem like a lonely place - I hope i've got that wrong!

Welcome

You'll find plenty of 914 nuts on here so no need to feel lonely anymore!

Be good to see some pics of your car

Glad to hear it

I just uploaded this album - it sort of has the journey of when i got the car, what it looked like before and after putting in new interior, wheels and I'm afraid, early style bumpers - but they look so much better!

Let me know thoughts!

Welcome Jack,

Great, another nine fourteen owner.

Your not alone, on here there are other nine one four owners, in London and the surrounding area.

Wow, how your fourteen has changed since the last time it was seen on DDK, when in Ireland.
Looks totally different now with the shinny bumpers, 5 stud fuchs and black interior.
I’m sure a few will be interested in knowing what is involved in converting the rubber bumper to metal ones.
Also on converting from 4 stud to 5 stud wheels.

A red 71 1.7, is your dads name Paul?

That’s all I know! Have no idea if it is still out there, and where!

Happy to pop round sometime and kick the tyres!
