DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

Hi,

My name is Mike and I have just bought a 1973 RHD 911T. I got it on Friday and by Saturday it was on the back of a transporter because the clutch cable came off the clutch arm

I've had a good few VW's in my time and currently own a Beetle, but always wanted a 911. I've been looking for a good few years and watched the prices go up and up and up so decided this year to bite the bullet and get one.

From the little I have driven it the clutch is a lot harder than a Beetle, my left thigh will be like Arnold Schwarzenegger's in a few months The handling is superb and I've just booked to take it on the Classic Drive day in May.

... your clutch shouldn't be much heavier than your VW. ( I came from VW's too )

The car was restored in the 80's and came runner in its class at VW action in 1986. In 1987 the car had done ~116000 miles, today it has ~118000, so only 3000 since 87.

I'll post some more history after I have read through the folder of receipts, MOT's and documentation I have.
