New to all of this and want to join the "conga" to Le man we are in sunny cornwall. I am starting to get a little stressed that we are leaving things too late. whats the general deal and do DDK camp as a group ??

Try not to get too wound up, that's really not the DDK way.

Are you referring to Classic Le Mans or the 24 hour?

We don't tend to organise anything for the 24 hour although a few members go.

As said, plenty about the Classic in Future events and members only and things are being organised.

Ok, remaining calm. It's the classic I was interested in. I went to the Silverstone classic this year and everyone said Le Man was bigger and better and sounds good fun. I've got a 356b outlaw style and a 1968 911L (a very happy garage!!). I'll sort my membership and look at the Le Man posts. Thanks

Hi Phil, I hope all is well with you. The 911 L is going well and hasn't missed a beat! I,ve got the horn grills for the for the front wings and hope to fit Them soon and Do a quick paint job. We're just fiddling with the 356 and are putting a pepped up vw engine in, a bit of a crime but I'm hoping to do some track time this year. I've got to fit better seats and tried with some 993 seats, look great but I need to Be 2 feet shorter as my heads nearly out of the roof. Hoping to have the 356 sorted for Le Man but the more I look at it the more needs doing, but I guess that's part of the fun...

Where in Cornwall are you?

As a general rule you do not pronounce the last letter in French. Therefore we say Le Man even though it it spelt Le Mans. This is unlike German where all letters are pronounced and there it is Porsche not Porsch. Class is dismissed

just a though on seats; have you looked at a set of elise seats? they're pretty thin/low and quite light. also usually available quite cheaply 2nd hand..
there's a set here on ebay

which might work out quite cheaply. appear to come with frames and belt-mountings which is a plus assuming they fit-up to the floor
