New Parts Provider, but longtime hobbyist....

Post by soterik »

Just wanted to introduce myself to the club. I've just been added as a new Parts provider with a banner you will occasionally see when you flip through the pages.

I'm a longtime Porsche hobby-ist, 25+ years 356 Registry member, PCA member, 20+ years Early S Member etc. etc. and my father owned a small European car dealership in the "States" dealing in VW's and Porsches for many years staring in 1962.

I've started to manufacture some very high quality reproduction parts that we've typically not been able to get from all the usual sources... mostly it's been through getting them used and refurbishing, or paying high NOS prices.

Though the offering is a bit limited to begin with, there are quite a few items coming but it takes a while as my standards are very high.

There's a link to my web page at the bottom here, and many of my items can be found on the link to the ebay store page I have.

Here's a few of the items:
SWB Horn grills, both standard type, and for accessory fog lights
LWB Horn grills for fog lights
SWB Window winder crank arms, and also the little cover caps
Factory type roof/luggage/ski rack
Muffler tips, correctly done in brass with a square "end".

Note that all the chrome work is done in a very high end "hotrod" specialty chrome shop in my hometown.

I recognize that shipping from the "states" can be a bit expensive at times. However I pledge to work with DDK members and will discount shipping appropriately or give item discounts to offset this. Please mention your membership when ordering. Note that I only charge actual shipping costs.. no "handling" costs added.

Kind regards,

Eric Linden

Dang, you have the short wheelbase standard horn grilles, they must be a recent addition.

I`ve spent 5 years searching for nice horn grilles and came to the conclusion that all the good ones have gone. They all have pock marks to one degree or another... (if they don`t now, they will next year) and the ones I had rechromed turned out so fat they didn`t fit any more.

I know where to go now. Welcome to DDK,

Mike.

I have just purchased a set of the SWB horn grilles with the cut outs for the spotlamps from Eric - these really do look fantastic - highly recommended. All I need to do now is fabricate some brackets....
1966 912 Karmann Coupe - polo red.
1972 914/6 GT replica - 2.7 - signal orange.

Many will know Soterik from the Early911SReg already. If not, suffice it to say that he is one of the most knowledgable collectors of early SWB 911 cars as well as the 69-73 cars in the USA. His knowledge of toolkits and sport seats is also legendary. He is a founding member of the "secret sport seat police". If he is selling something car or part, it is sure to be top shelf. Welcome aboard Eric.
