Stunning! Read and reread both features and it has to be up with any of the more recent 100pt+ watercooled show cars out there. Would be sorely tempted to put an ABF 16v or Turbo 1.4 TSi in it. But then unfortunately i'd hoon it about, stretch the shifter, blow the turbo, kerb the fuchs, ding the bumpers, crack an NOS lense, scratch the leather, forget to clean it, drop milk in the boot, drop a beagle in the back, get mud on the carpets and generally undo all the good work put into it. A respectful build and a beautiful rarity put together with commitment and passion but which ultimately would be wasted on a neanderthal like me! Good luck with it...

If you want a shortcut - for various reasons I have stood here a B3 Passat GT, which has all your mods already completed : It's 16v, has kerbed wheels, cracked lenses, a dinged bumper, and definitely smells like off milk.

It doesn't quite cut the dash of the Audi, but it comes with a free Busta Rhymes tape that you have to listen to on every trip as it won't eject.

Any good?

The B3 sounds perfect for my 'sling it, bend it, park it, dump it' style of driving. How much will you give me to take it?

I agree, stunning car.
Now call me old fashioned, but a bit of an introduction would have been polite, and probably would help to sell an Audi on a Porsche forum.

I`m sure the girl is very nice... and the car has obviously had a wash..... but that is one daft video.

What`s a second hand Audi doing for sale on DDk ??

Thanks for the comments guys. Sorry for not introducing myself. I'm Trevor Brady, from Ireland and I restored the car over the last year. It's the latest in a few restorations I've done (couple of beetles, mk1 Derby, mk1 MR2) and the first that I've gone all out on. Probably the last too, it's a LOT of work!! The extent of my Porsche history is a couple of 924 donor cars for my first beetle. Unless you include the 915 trans and 944 brakes and suspension under my Subaru engine/1303 chassis/55 oval beetle bodyshell loooooong term project

Of course my ideal car would be a 356 Speedster Outlaw but until I win the lotto... you know yourself!!

so that's me. I know that it's an Audi on a Porsche forum but they're not worlds apart. This is obviously a hotbed of people who are enthusiastic about old German tin. Someone might fancy something watercooled, FWD to contrast their aircooled RWD machinery
Besides, it's closer to old Porsches than some of the non-Porsche stuff being sold in the cars for sale section, motorhomes, Beemer estates etc
