Sorry if you already know this but I wondered if all the 911E owners were aware of the 911e Register - http://www.911e.org/index.php

This site lists several dozen 911e's by chassis no. most with pictures and history. The majority are US cars and interestingly many of the cars have been pretty badly DIY'd/modified/molested. That said, it's an interesting resource.

Been on for about 4ish years - when I registered there were about 300 cars so its been a slooow uptake, almost cult - bit like the E in fact
