Hi All

Just arrived here having purchased a 1972 2.4S.

Its a black, LHD, Italian car that came to the UK many years ago. It needs some sympathetic restoration in some areas but is a very sound car, and one which I intend to keep for a very long time.

Looking forward to understanding more about what goes on here over the coming months
:)

Hi Peter, and welcome to DDK. Having owned an Italian 2.4S myself a few years ago I know how good they can be.

Welcome Peter and you've come to the right place. There's a huge amount of expertise and advice on DDK.

Enjoy your S and a few introductory pics are always welcome. Picture hosting help here if you need it http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... es+posting

welcome to DDK :)

As I mentioned on the PCGB forum, my 2.4S is also an ex Italian car :) Great cars with a few Italain only features, like the Italian fron indicator lenses, no hazards etc

Seems a lot of the Italian cars were not loaded with optional extra ... eg most seem to have wind up windowes rather than electric etc .

Mine came with tinted green glass & recaros sport seats as the only options . Will be interesting to see what the records show your original spec as.

Nice looking unrestored Italian delivered Aubergine car at Roock at the moment (now reserved I think):
