Garage ideas please!

Post by sjm »

Hi all. I'm finally getting my garage re-built later this year and starting to look for ideas/ inspiration. The garage I've got is a 'tandem' - i.e., double garage, with room for two cars one behind the other, although the way we're rebuilding our ground floor is such that the garage will in fact be double width at the back, so I'll have a reasonable amount of space to play with. I want it to be like a 'room' as opposed to a garage - it's got to be dry/ somewhere to display photos/ books/ basically a grown up's toy room!

I've found a company called Dura who seem to be very good, but just wondered if any of you had used other systems? Or indeed if anyone would be happy to post up photos of their own garage if you have done something similar at your own place?

Thanks in advance!

psd911 on here sells Lista cabinets, which I have bought. Great quality and excellent value.

Get a sink in there so you dont get oily hand prints on the door handles.

Hello!
I´m working on my small garage right now, 35m2, two cars in a row. Will not be finished until later this summer but it's starts to be quite cozy now. All things shall be color matched and the hood there shall be a wall lamp above the coffee and automotive magazine corner...

Have a look around "garage journal" forum but have a few hours spare.

Bruce - thanks for a great recommendation!!! There are some very good ideas on here, but I found one thread I think we'll all enjoy (may put this up as a new thread in fact), where some guy in Oz has been tidying his garage up for his 550... I've now got some great ideas for the garage, but now need a 550 to go next to the 356!

Thanks again - great tip :)

It is a guilty pleasure of mine and addictive too.

For example, you might recognise this guy...
