Is this the same car Neil Bainbridge sold recently?

Looks a bit of a bargain,if its as claimed.

I don't know the car, but have been to the seller's house and his story is true - he's got a blooming lot to do!

I went to see it and walked away. I was interested in a winter project to keep me occupied. Source and engine, drop it in and whizzo, one RSR rep up and running.

I walked for two reasons one was that looking at it there was more to do than just dropping in an engine. It looked to me like it would blossom into a big project. Secondly, I was not convined about the quality of the conversion work and the state general state of the car. I might have taken more time to check it out with some expert help, but the other buyer was hot to trot there and then. He wanted to buy and Neil was holding him off to give me a chance to buy as I had contacted first. I bowed out!

I have a feeling it went for 10k last time, so the seller might make a profit!

what i don't understand is why when you are the highest bidder at £6k do you immediately bid £8k 20 seconds later and then £10k a further 20 secs after that......

always makes me suspicious

The bidder was trying to reach the seller's reserve price ... which was obviously either £10k or somewhere between £8k & £10k.

I sold a very period Triumph Stag for a friend on ebay. Somebody was fishing to find the top level of the highest bid by bidding it up and then once he got there withdrawing the bid 5 mins later
