Hi,
We have been fortunate to be involved in the production of new steel ST rear arches, and it is with great pleasure to say these are now finished.
The first pair has now been fitted to a ST flavoured race car we are building. I will update the pictures with better pictures soon.
The price is £950 per pair plus VAT. These are hand made in the UK. We can also organise having these fitted to your car, please email for prices.
Thanks
Alan
PS.We also plan on selling ST front arches in steel.

Hi,
The chap that made these took the profile from a ST arch. The car in the pics will be running 9 x 15 fuchs.

Good evening Alan (and other Traders on DDK) -
I really love the ST arches - it would really be the direction that I would love to take my little T.
However, and I hope you don't mind me asking - why are they soooo expensive !!??!!
I appreciate that there is real skill involved in producing them and that significant effor/investment went into producing the initial template profile etc - and I don't doubt they'll be to the same exacting standards as all the other wonderful work you and your team do - but still....£1000 before they're even fitted ?? Presumably that'll be over £2k - fitted/painted etc...
Can you envistage ever getting the cost down to a more reasonable level - I dunno - £1k all done?

Surely there'd a cue down the road from Cranford Classics if you did.
Anyway - keep up the great work
Regards
Sean

Hi Sean,
Thanks for your post and comments. I understand what you are saying, and your basis for posting is the exact reason why we looked into having these made. The ST arches we are selling are a lot cheaper than what I was quoted from other suppliers when originally looking for a set (please look for your self). With this in mind, ie being competitive and taking into account the fixed costs involved to make these items, and ensure the production of a high quality product, we feel this is a very reasonable final sale price.
This may come down slightly as the fabricator hones their process, or large orders are made, but as with many of these parts the final number of sales, (even if the price was lower- (and the margins are not that high!)) is still pretty small.
I hope this makes sense. I should also add that quality is never cheap, it reflects the work involved and the skills required to make these items.
Thanks
Alan

Whilst the car is having the cage put in, here are some earlier pics of the rear arches going on and a few detail pics. The car they were fitted to also had a rear wing clip hence the join up the wing to the engine lid.
Thanks

Hi,
We now have 3 ST rear arch sets in stock. We are now also thinking on also making metal front ST arches, any potential interest here? These can be sold as just the arch or we can weld them onto brand new front wings, so they can be bolted on and gapped up.
Thanks
