Addition to the UK family

I have enjoyed following this forum's discussion in the last month while waiting for my car to arrive- and thought I say hi and introduce myself and a new member of the family.
Having sealed the deal in August after visiting the car in Long Beach, it took a while for it to arrive. On Saturday I finally flew over to Rotterdam to get it and drive it back to London.
I had an unbelievable time picking it up and driving it back to London. This is my first Porsche. What a car. What a sound. What a drive. I am still smiling today.
The car is a 1973 CIS Gemini Blue 911 2.4T. It was initially bought by a movie starlet who basically went down the list and bought all available extras and asked for a blue interior. It then was babied 30 years by a Californian doctor. I bought it from a Porsche enthusiast in Long Beach California who owned it for the last 5 years and now had to sell. His name is Ian, what a great guy. Ebay bids did not meet his reserve so I visited him on my summer holiday and struck a deal.
Looking forward to meeting you on some events and certainly asking for your advice!
Cross your fingers for the MOT. Chris Turner will sheppard her through the examination this week.
