Nice car Paul and welcome to DDK.
You have a rare S and in a great colour. Helen saw that it received the best of attention.
I think you will find it is 68S even though it may have been manufactured in late 67. (the model year ran from August to July). Your 68S is different from a 67S and in fact has several unique one year only features.

Enjoy your new ride!

Regards
Mike

cheers Mike...i did wonder about the model year 67/8...will amend accordingly :-) i read with interest the thread on here about the restoration there really isnt much to do we are talking re chroming and/or re anodising some exterior trim... i had a full inspection done by chris prior to purchase...and when i get the time i'll be dropping the car into nick to sort and have it spot on...

i cant remember how many years its been since i drove a carb'd car and one with no choke at that! struggled a bit to start it from warm..i'm sure i'll learn with practice!

glad it's gone to a good home at last. it's been sitting around in the show room for far to long.

yes it's a 1968 with unique elephant hide interior which i took great pains to clean and restore the best i could.

can't say i ever had any real problem with warmstarts maybe it'll improve once it gets used abit more.

You have to use a site like photobucket to host your pics and then use the Img or URL tabs before and after the link.

Hi Paul and welcome to DDK. I look forward to seeing this car at last after hearing so much about and knowing the last 3 owners (excepting Sherwood Restorations).
